What has been your favorite project to work on throughout your time at Colliers?

I have worked on a few projects throughout my time at Colliers, one of my favorites being the tenant appreciation/holiday gifts. For this project, the REMS team collaborated by proposing different ideas for our tenants that are fun, lively, and genuine. What I enjoyed the most about this project was hearing different strategies and recommendations that not only would make our tenants happy, but also create closer relationships.

What has been the biggest learning lesson you will take away from this internship?

During my internship, there have been a couple of lessons I have learned that have made an impact on my professional career. What I will take with me is being eager to learn more, ask questions, and be a curious person. One phrase I was always told and appreciated during my time here was, “There is no such thing as a silly question.” Because of this, it put me in a position to learn the most I could throughout the last 90 days.

What aspects of commercial real estate has this internship made you more interested in?

One of the things I loved about this internship was learning about all the different departments and how each correlates and corroborates with one another. With that, it was interesting for me to see how each department has an impact on Colliers as a whole. During this internship, I had the opportunity to attend a couple of meetings with Tenby and shadow different departments. I found this to be greatly beneficial to my internship because that’s how I learned what each department does.
