Has your internship allowed you to network with other real estate professionals? If so, in what ways?
My internship at Colliers has definitely helped me network with other real estate professionals. My supervisor, Stephanie, has helped me connect and even shadow with a few others in the office. This helped me understand more of what goes on beyond just my responsibilities here at Colliers as well as learn more about the different aspects of commercial real estate.
What has been your favorite project to work on throughout your time at Colliers?
My favorite project I have gotten to work on has been redesigning three brochures for the Chase Buildings that Dan and Michelle represent. For each building, I had to go out and get new photos, videos and 3D Tour content. Although this did take some time, I really enjoyed seeing the buildings in person and it helped me understand the importance of having visuals for the potential tenants. Overall, I just loved having the creative freedom in designing the brochures, and I definitely learned a lot throughout the entire process.
What has been the biggest learning lesson you will take away from this internship?
The biggest learning lesson I will take away from this internship is that there is a lot of value in working with others to complete a shared goal. I think Dan and Michelle’s team model this so well in their ability to have major success in commercial real estate, while working together with Stephanie and Brady. They really do rely on one another and share the credit for their success as a team.
