Parking is an important factor in how tenants, employees and visitors experience downtown Columbus. For office users, nearby parking can influence commuting decisions, building convenience and the overall appeal of a location.
To better understand parking access in the downtown office market, Colliers Research created an interactive parking dashboard and map focused on lots and garages within approximately a 10-minute walk of premier office buildings, including locations such as 65 E. State and Chase Tower. The dashboard is not intended to capture every parking option downtown. Instead, it highlights facilities most relevant to major office users and visitors near key office assets.
The map allows users to compare parking options by location, rate structure and availability of daily or monthly parking where information is available. Some facilities may only offer daily parking, while others provide monthly options for regular commuters. In cases where monthly rates are not listed, the dashboard helps distinguish between facilities with known monthly pricing and those without available monthly rate information.
One of the main benefits of the dashboard is that it connects parking cost to walkability. A parking option may appear affordable, but its value also depends on how close it is to a specific office building and whether it fits the user’s needs.
Users can also use slider filters to narrow parking options by daily or monthly rate. This makes it easier to identify facilities that meet a specific budget, whether for visitor parking, employee commuting, or tenant site evaluation.
While focused in scope, the dashboard provides a practical way to evaluate parking access near downtown Columbus office buildings.
