Keeping up with CRE trends is as easy as 1-2-3 with our weekly piece! The Weekly Review is a new blog series that will be released every Friday. The market is constantly growing and adapting to new ventures and ideas, and our goal is to provide up-to-date information into what is happening in both the Columbus and U.S. markets, as well as the commercial real estate industry as a whole. As stories evolve, the Weekly Review will continue to follow along and update our clients and community.

“Columbus developer Jeff Edwards wants to build a large, mixed-use complex on Capitol Square – and he already has an anchor tenant that will own its portion of the project. Edwards Cos. submitted plans for a 12-story residential tower along with a seven-story office building that will serve as the new headquarters for law firm Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease. Vorys will become the owner-occupant of the office building, which will be separated from the residences by a 40-foot plaza.”

“The Riverview Village redevelopment project in Historic Dublin is progressing, with construction slated to begin in April. With $11.7 million from the city of Dublin, Cohatch is spearheading the plan to transform a stretch of North Riverview Street into a village-like campus of coworking, dining and community gathering spaces.”

“The owner of three downtown Columbus buildings that are currently for sale after a redevelopment project stalled is now seeking to demolish them. Cleveland-based Harsax Management submitted a request to the city for the demolition of 171-191 S. High St. and 200 S. Wall St., known as the Old Lazarus Block next to the Ohio National Bank building.”
